McDreamy....

So what do you think the thought process is like for someone trying out for the Bachelor/Bachelorette?? Do you think it is something along the lines of, "I'm so ready to find love! This is going to be SO fun and exciting. I'm going to be on TV! I will get recognized at HEB! I will get to make out in hot tubs and go on super fancy dates! Martina McBride is going to serenade me and this girl I have only known for 20 minutes! I'm going to have to learn to 2 step....that's ok because I'll get to dance to Martina McBride while she serenades me and this girl I have known for 20 minutes! If I just make it past round 3 I'm going to get to ride in a helicopter!!!!"

I'm sure there is a lot to think about. Not the least of which is TIME OFF FROM WORK! Seriously Ed, did you not think about this? Before you hired the personal trainer to get in shape for all of the hot tub scenes did you not talk it over with "The Man" to make sure 6 weeks of vacay was going to be feasible? Instead you came into my home (through my TV of course), you were my front runner, you got me all excited, you flashed that adorable smile, you wore that great outfit with the jeans and the sweater and the button down....swoon. I'm going out to buy that exact outfit for Dave as soon as the thermometer drops below 101 here.

In all seriousness, I got a lump in my throat and got really upset when you dropped the bomb that you might have to go. And here is my beef with Chris Harrison and ABC....you build up the most random situations with words such as, "The most DRAMATIC moment in bachelorette history!!" and "We've never seen anything like it before!!" for things like Dave getting mad at goofy Juan, but there isn't so much as a smoke ring for this one. This is just sprung on us like, "pass the salt." I mean, in my bachelorette pool I had Ed going to the Final Four and finally being crowned the National Champion. It was all taken away from me so quickly. Might I suggest choosing your words more carefully Harrison? Maybe we could get a few ominous notes like in the Jaws movies just so we know to get ready.

Any who...I'm kind of torn. Last night's episode ended leaving me hollow and uncertain. I honestly don't know who I think will "win" and I don't know who I want to win. I usually see lots of foreshadowing, but this time I don't know. I think "Jilly" really really liked Ed. She was pretty visibly upset even into the rose ceremony. I know I would be too if I watched Ed walk out and I still had Mark the Pizza man, Tanner the foot fetish guy and break dancer Michael. I could have cut this down to hometown dates about 5 weeks ago, but no one asked for my help!

So here is the real questions...what do you think is going to happen??

A: This is all a big scam and Ed is going to come back like the knight in shining armor and ask for a second chance?

B: Ed did get a call from work, but he was just using it as an excuse and this could actually be an added scene to "He's Just Not that Into You"?

C: He really did like her but he's just such a good guy and he couldn't let his boss/co-workers down. He also really couldn't imagine getting another job in this economy, so it wasn't worth the risk?

D: None of the above OR you could care less?

Let's discuss.....

I am going with C...he is just normal...realized that he is giving up his job, not for the girl, but a CHANCE at a girl. I do not blame him one bit. I think he had a come to Jesus moment and was like "why would I lose my job; I can meet girls in my real world."

He is for sure going to come back but I totally didn't appreciate how Jillian was a B to him when he chose to leave. Yea, it'd be cool to pick him and then she questions him and if he can support her (and her expensive taste, personal trainers, and their new lifestyle together) with no job. Seriously! Yes, some people have to WORK and I'm sure he worked hard to get where he was. okay okay, enough of my rant.

In better news, if he doesn't come back then we can set him up with Kristen...but only if he's still employed

so I felt the exact same way- he was probably my top pick for her. now, he's gone and all I have to remember him by is that adorable outfit you recreated in your post. if Ed comes back, you can paint me pink and call me Tina- I'd be sooooo happy!!! and honestly, i don't blame jilly for being mad. he should have thought about that BEFORE hand... now leaving, it just makes it look like he doesn't care that much about her, so she masked her insecurities in anger. no judgement here. thank you for letting me get this off my chest.

oh how i wish we could watch this show together. i had so many of the same thoughts. i would like to think C...i mean, i'm sure he wouldn't do that to precious little jilly if he didn't have to. my new top runners are kiptyn and neil. i think neil is so cute!
