Parker and Caroline's Hole in ONE!

We had an absolute ball celebrating Parker and Caroline turning one! They had a blast, loved being loved on, and wore themselves out. We are so grateful to our friends and family who shared in their big day.

Their birthday was on Saturday the 12th, so while brainstorming party ideas it was brought to my attention that that was Masters' weekend. Knowing the TV would be tuned to the tournament I decided to just go with it. We decided to have our own little hole in one!

P&C were in the best moods. They loved the balloons and seeing all of their buddies.

Their favorite buddies being their Zsa Zsa and Big Daddy
and their YaYa and Pops!

I ordered these children's golf books for each of them and everyone wrote a note to P&C.

Nothing photographs well in my kitchen...sorry! We had lunch at the 19th hole. In keeping with the theme we served Arnold Palmers, club sandwiches, chip shots, wedge salads, Banana "putting", cake balls and cup cakes.

I think my favorite part of the whole day was their cakes! Parker totally surprised me by being all about it! He dug in before the candle was blown out and only stopped when we finally took it away. Ha! Caroline made a complete mess of hers but hardly took a bite. That was a complete role reversal! They had so much fun digging in.

My dad set up a great little golf course for the kids. They made their visors, grabbed their clubs and away they went.

Everything is more fun when my sister is involved :)

Dave and his best buddy

So thankful for these women! The best of the best!

These girls were cuteness overload. It was major celebration when Avery made her putt!

Little sister pulled her clubs out one by one. She was ready to play with the big kids!

The Rat Pack.

Aunt Kristen and Uncle Brad scored BIG with the bubble machine. It was an instant hit and hasn't lost it's charm!

We have very few pics without our kids these days. Sure do love this guy and all he does for our family.

Happy birthday to my main man!

It always wonderful to share these special moments with my siblings! We are so thankful y'all would share this day with us!

Happy birthday to my sweet little deedles!! I hope you know how loved and celebrated you are. You changed our lives for the better and we praise God for you.

Bluebonnet Babes...

I love spring. Baseball, bluebonnets and....birthdays! I can't even believe these 2 deedle bugs will be 1 in less than a week, but that's a teary topic for another day. Today we'l focus on the beautiful bluebonnets.

I absolutely love seeing them scattered along the highways and back-roads. My Papa loved the bluebonnets and I can't help but think of him each time I see them. The first patch I saw I began plotting our photos. As with most things with two babies, it wasn't as easy as I had planned!

There is a beautiful patch of bluebonnets at a park near our house. It's virtually impossible for me to carry them both very far so it was a bit of a challenge to get them out there. Add in my camera, blankets, their chairs....as you can imagine, we were a circus.

I never dreamed the sun would still be so bright at 6pm, but it was. And little man wasn't thrilled about it.

With no photos of Parker I knew we would make a return trip. After all, the bluebonnets are out for about 3 weeks. I have plenty of time to torture my children with the camera :) The opportunity presented itself the very next day when we were dressed and ready for the Easter Bunny. Two birds, one stone, done and done.

Our "First Holiday" character photos have gone swimmingly. Santa was good but I think this one is my absolute favorite. It's going to be hard to top the fear and apathy shown here.

Happy Monday, friends! Hope you're off to a great week!!
