A Very Mendenhall Thanksgiving!

I'm late with this post, but it's important for me to note the precious time we spent with David's family over Thanksgiving. We traveled to Arkansas to celebrate his grandmother's 90th birthday on Thanksgiving day! We visited with his aunts, uncles, cousins, grandmother and grandfather and we had a wonderful time and WAY too much food! I think I ate more off of the dessert table than anything else, and outside of my pants being snug, I don't regret it one bit!

Here's the tale of our time on the farm in photos...and maybe a few words. :)

I love, love these photos of David's grandparents!

Where I spent most of my time...You're looking at Coconut Cream (I stayed away from that bad boy), Pecan (I did NOT stay away from that), apple pie (I may or may not have had 2 pieces. In my defense, we were there 2 days), pumpkin pie and birthday cake! Holy moly dessert table...

Dave, his cousin Bailey and his dad, Mark getting the hayride set up for us!

In the midst of celebration we had a little plumbing snafu...the good news is that there were several Mendenhall men in the house. There are a lot of chiefs and not many indians in our family. :) This picture makes me laugh out loud! Brothers....

Kate, reading birthday cards to her grandmother...and below, Gloria loving on her daughters in-law as they read their cards

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and are looking forward to a merry Christmas!

Looks like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! & those 2 pieces of apple pie? I am positive they were necessary! I've had 3 pieces of pumpkin pie between sunday and today. Oops? It's okay though, my mom only makes it twice a year so I have to enjoy it while it is here!
