Always said Dressing! But, when I lived up north it was stuffing and here in Vegas it is stuffing as well. I refuse to change....

we don't call it either. we call it filling in our house. i've never heard anyone else call it that. i think my family are the odd balls.

I call it dressing, but justin calls it stuffing. However, I'm not sure if he and I are thinking of the same thing!

I've always thought that it is called 'Stuffing' if it is stuffed in a turkey or any other bird... And 'dressing' if it is made as a side alone, in it's own dish. The 'dressing' of the meal...

I think Jamie must be right. And I will say it out loud... I hate it either way. Stuffed, Dressed, Whatever. Skip the dressing and have an extra heap of taters!

We brits have always called it stuffing as its usually "Stuffed inside the bird" before cooking. But sometimes we make some on the side. To me it will always be known as "stuffing". x

I always say stuffing. I just always figured it was because it was stuffed in the turkey. Happy Thanksgiving!
