The Gift That GIVES!

"You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.” ~ 2 Corinthians 9:11

A few weeks ago I went to the Junior League of Austin's Annual Christmas Affair. It's a huge holiday market with vendors from all over the country selling everything from tamales to household items to jewelry. I was walking through the rows of vendors and goodies when some darling beanies caught my eye. I walked over and fought through the crowd at her booth to see her beautiful work, and then I read her "mission".

For every beanie purchased, a beanie is given to a sick child at Dell Children's Hospital.

What an AMAZING opportunity we have to make a difference in the life of a child as they fight their fight! This would be a wonderful Christmas gift. You get a beanie for those special people on your list, a child will receive a very cute, but also practical, gift because of your purchase...and there's more...CaryAnn, the precious owner of Be Wee and the creator of the Beanie Project, has set up a blog where you can go and write a note of encouragement, hope and love to the child that will receive the other "half" of your beanie! How wonderful would that be for your children to receive their beanie for Christmas, know that another child has also received a beanie, and be able to write a note to them? (Check out her blog and notes others have written HERE)

The 411: The beanies are $30-$35 for a set (Be Wee gives 1, YOU get 1)

Orders need to be placed by 12/15/11 to be receive by Christmas

SHOP HERE! Ps...she has lots of other goodies besides beanies. She's super talented!

And finally, if CaryAnn isn't generous enough already...

she's giving away a gorgeous beanie to one of you!

And all you had to do is read this post! (And hopefully spread the word and tell all of your friends!!) Simply comment on this post, maybe tell us who would be a great recipient of one of these adorable beanies, and I will use Random.org to choose a winner on 12/15. Remember: That is the last date to order for delivery by Christmas, so that will be the cutoff of our giveaway.

HAPPY GIVING!

The beanies are adorable and the sentiment is even more. I'd give the beanie to a friend who just had two micro-preemie twin girls!

What an amazingly generous, loving, wonderful person CaryAnn sounds like! I love seeing those who use their gifts and talents in such a beautiful selfless way- they are such an inspiration! Having one daughter already and another on the way, I think we may need to order a few sets! Thanks for sharing this!

Hadley got a little knit hat in ICU, and for some reason it meant so much to me. I love that she makes the kids and parents at Dell feel the same way!
