If it's not one thing, it's your mother!

Y'all, 2011 has been a bit of a cluster for us so far. I mean, it could be worse. I'm totally aware of that and trust me that I am thankful it hasn't been. But I do kind of feel like it's almost laughable that each week is something new.

Just before the new year we realized that we had a water spot on our bathroom ceiling and when Dave touched it, the entire area of sheet rock came down. YAY! So we called out some helpers and realized we had not one but TWO leaks and the only way to properly fix it would be to tear up the flooring and basically re-do the bathroom. We opted for the permanent fix instead of the quick fix and it was a 2 week project. We spent some dinero on a bathroom we never see...so I'm going to the bathroom upstairs now just so I can spend a little time in our investment. :)

This weekend we finally got the new light fixture up in there and after turning back on our power we realized that the outlet in our laundry room wasn't working. Stellar. So last night we had an electrician out and 30 minutes and another $check$ later we had a new breaker box which had burnt out.

Tomorrow we will drop David's truck off to have the back end repaired after being rear-ended last week on I-30 in Dallas. We were there for the Cotton Bowl....very fun. We were not hyped about being rear-ended by LSU students who had had way too much to drink...bad. But I do know it could have been MUCH worse than it was. Thankfully we were in Dave's truck which was basically a tank and repelled the Chevy trailblazer to the best of it's steel ability.

They say things happen in 3's...so 1-2-3...I hope we're done! Here's to February! :)

Here's a little picture from our Cotton Bowl fun. We had a great time with our friends Lynch and Ryan. Those LSU fans are C-R-A-Z-Y! But thankfully they have insurance. :)

Wow, sounds like a lot going on, but it seems you are handling them one at a time. Good luck for a less eventful (bad eventful) february! :)

Wow, do I understand is an understatement...electricians are over-the-top expensive and we discovered rats in my engine so you don't have to say anything but "car troubles" and I can sympathize!! Good luck--it is overdue to you :-)
