Crazy! With a Hint of Glam and Fab...

I did a little "tour of Texas" last week and it was quite a whirlwind. Along my tour I had a couple of friends chide me about my lack of blogging and for that, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that you have had to wait a week for pictures of a wind farm in West Texas. Was that a hint of glamorous? I'll let you decide.
The wind farms really are crazy! These are just iPhone pictures taken through the car window as we were driving 85 MPH so forgive the quality. But I did get out my camera and take about 40 more pictures because it fascinated me. Come on people. I watch dancing with the stars. I'm clearly easily entertained!

We hit Lubbock and I quickly noticed that the Cavenders was bigger than the Target...we're not in Kansas anymore Toto...We had a great steak dinner and then hit the town, along with 50,000 of our closest friends. I think every Tech and Texas student decided to come out and all of the female students (every.single.one.) was wearing boots and a dress. To say there was great people watching would be an understatement.
We started off game day by touring a winery and doing a tasting. Have you ever had a $5 tasting of 12 different wines?? Me either! It was like 3 glasses of wine total...
Then it was game time....Texas vs. Tech. The girl in the orange ended up happier than her red raider. :)
The next morning I hopped the 8am flight to Dallas for a conference. We were a little spoiled by some of the vendors...This picture was taken from the observation deck of Reunion Tower in Dallas.
One of our team building activities was an "Iron Chef" challenge. We went to Viking Cooking School and each team was given 4 ingredients we had to incorporate. Then, each team was given a different protein. We received beef. Other teams received chicken, tuna, turkey, etc.
We had a lot of fun and this was our final product...If only Tom Colicchio had been there to judge it!
I enjoyed my events across Texas but I'm glad to be back home sweet home. This weekend we had falling temperatures and I took note! I got out my fall decorations and I am so excited to be home this weekend and enjoy them! I made this wreath thanks to the great idea from Kristin!
The picture below is from Rookie's very first Halloween...he was Elvis thanks to his Aunt Kristen's amazing (and thoughtful) costume find. It's still one of my all-time favorites! Since then he has been a spider, a pumpkin, a doctor...that might be it. What ever will he be this year?

Happy fall y'all! Is everyone getting hyped for the Texas vs. ou game this weekend? Come early, be loud, stay late, wear ORANGE!

Where did you get the hanger for the wreath on top of the mirror? I need something like that!

Kimberly, the wreath hanger is from Michaels...$4.99. And I just bought it this weekend so I know they still have them.
