Sheer Randomness...

This post is so random that you shouldn't be surprised if you hear about Real Housewives of NYC, health care reform, March Madness and even my new perfume. But I'll rethink over sharing on a few of these topics because who really wants to hear my views on the Countess and Bethenny anyway??

Y'all were so funny about my tongue! Thank you for your sweet comments of disbelief and a few of you even sent me really funny e-mails wanting detailed descriptions of my "ailment". But I did get several questions many times, so I'll quickly say that no, my tongue does not hurt in any way. It is only half of my tongue and honestly, I hardly even notice it anymore. There are certain times when it will tingle a little (kind of feels like when your foot goes to sleep) but in all....I'm over it. Right after it happened I bit my tongue all the time and I would bite it HARD. I couldn't feel it until I had bitten down really, really far. But now, it's just kind of a way of life and It hardly effects me. I have no speech problems, so for that I am very grateful! The corrective surgery did help a little bit. Instead of the intense tingling and zero feeling in the right half of my tongue I have a bit more feeling towards the center of my tongue. The left side is completely normal. And finally, I had a couple questions of taste...it's really hard to tell because the right side of my tongue is A-ok, but the majority of the tatse buds on the right side are dead (according to the doctor). But I really don't have a problem with tasting foods. I do have heightened heat sensation. Like if something is hot then to me it is REALLY hot. Like scalding. So, in a nutshell, that's what it's like with a partially numb tongue! And to my commenter who also has this....holy cow!! I could not even believe that! I am so sorry you have the same issue, but I'm also so glad to know I'm not the only person out there with really bad luck! Ha!

Moving on from the randomness of my numb tongue...

I got a new perfume for spring this weekend and I L-O-V-E it!! It is Beachy by Lilly Pulitzer and I got it on sale at Dillard's for only $20! I first heard about her fragrances from Pink Lace and Cupcakes and when I saw it I had to stop and smell! I'm so glad I did, and the price had me at hello. I also got the candle because it was on sale for $10 and I have it on my nightstand. My room smells so good. I might even go back and get a few more!
Did any of you see Dancing with the Stars last night? I didn't, but I DVRd it. I can't wait to watch. Who are your early favorites? Was Jake super cheesy and goofy? I have to admit that I am not a fan of Kate Gosslin. I really have never been a fan of her even before all of the drama so seeing her on the show will be interesting. I do love Erin Andrews! I think she is so sweet and fun (you know, since we're BFF and all....Kind of like me and Joey Potter...I have an issue with thinking these people are exactly as they are on TV) so I can't wait to see how she does.

Ok, I will stop with the random topics and just say, have a great day! I am SO excited because we are expecting an 80 degree day here in Austin and you know what that means....patio dinner and then....

I will have to go to Dillards soon and test your perfume. I am always looking for new scents; I feel like I have been using the same ones for years.

DWTS... Kate looked awkward! I cringed a few times with her flexed foot... yikes!

Is it bad that I watch every Real Housewives?! It is addicting!

Can't wait to smell the new perfume and the candle!! And I love that you didn't even need words to talk about baseball. It would have just been unnecessary!!
